Major retailers want to give our school money! “Free money towards tuition”

We are pleased to share some exciting news about a fundraising program for our school. It’s called “RaiseRight/SCRIP,” a fundraising program that works while you shop.

Scrip is simply a word that means “substitute money” — in other words, scrip is gift certificates from national and local retailers. They are the same gift certificates you buy at the store. Many popular retailers participate in our scrip program including but not limited to: JC Penny, The Gap, Pizza Hut, Walmart/Sams, Red Lobster/Olive Garden, Wendy’s, Dairy Queen, Burger King, and many, many others. Twisters, Dion’s, Weck’s, and Whichwich are local retailers, and they give us a 15% discount. To see the full list click here.

You’re probably asking yourself how these stores help us raise money. It’s simple – participating retailers agree to sell gift certificates to our organization at a discount. Families like yours buy the certificates for full face value, then redeem them for full face value, and our school keeps the difference in revenue. And scrip is exciting because everybody wins:

  • The retailer gets cash up front and repeat business.
  • We get a powerful fundraising alternative that involves no selling.
  • Our school gets a regular source of revenue.
  • You can get 1/2% of your rebate towards your tuition!! Free $$!!

The beauty of this program is that you put your regular household shopping dollars to work. You earn money for our school without spending a single additional penny. Use the gift cards for just about any household purchase including food, clothing, entertainment, gasoline, and even dining out.

You can pick up these gift cards between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm Monday – Friday in the church office. You are also able to place an order online or fill out an order form and turn it in; if the cards are in stock, you can pick up your order the next day. Any special orders will be processed on Monday and would be available after Wednesday.

You must create a RaiseRight account to participate. Please click here to download the form. Then all you need to do is fill it out and bring it back to the church office.

It is easy to set up an account but if you have any questions about the program you may contact Karen Kolke at 206-0906 or email
