Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
Everything that I need to know I learned in kindergarten…except algebra I have been told by a former student.
After graduating from Concordia University in Seward, NE with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education (with an emphasis in early childhood and a minor in health/safety/PE), I began my teaching career as a director of a Lutheran preschool program in Missouri. After three years, I graduated to Kindergarten when I accepted a call to set up the kindergarten program at Christ Lutheran. I have just finished my 26th year of teaching and I still love coming to school every day. Along the way, I also earned a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Every child is a special gift from God and I am honored that parents entrust their children to my care. As a teacher in a Lutheran school, I am able to share God’s love every day in and out of the classroom as I share the greatest gift with students and their families – eternal life in heaven through Jesus.
My husband, Kelley, and I have been blessed with three daughters of our own- Hayleigh, Maddi, and Aubrey, two son-in-laws — Aaron and Tyler, two grandsons — Mason and Jameson, and one granddaughter, Brielle. We like to go camping as a family and I enjoy reading and putting together new activities for my classroom.
